History & Background
The Ten Commodities Group has steadily grown and diversified into many sectors through strategic investments, acquisitions and organic growth consistently adapting to market trends and customer needs over the last 25 years since its inception as a wholesale business in textiles and food commodities. Its founder, Mr Abdiweli Hassan, OGW, EBS, is an entrepreneur who started as a trader in the thriving and dynamic Eastleigh commercial district of Nairobi. The business then expanded into the rapidly growing real estate sector culminating in the development of Business Bay Square that remains an anchor business for the rest of the Group’s companies.
The Group’s ventures have consistently driven economic growth, created employment opportunities, and facilitated regional trade and development, resulting in Ten Commodities Group positioning as a cornerstone of progress in East Africa, reflecting a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and regional collaboration.
